SpiritLife Alumni Picnic Recap: A Joyous Day of Reconnection and Celebration!

On October 12th, SpiritLife welcomed alumni, family, friends, and staff for our Annual Alumni Picnic! Held at our beautiful location in Penn Run, PA, the event was filled with laughter, memories, and a strong sense of community. This annual gathering allowed us all to reflect on the journey of recovery, reconnect with familiar faces, and celebrate the growth and resilience of our SpiritLife family.

The day was packed with engaging activities for all ages! Guests enjoyed a buffet of delicious food prepared by our talented chef, James, which was only the beginning of an afternoon brimming with excitement. Lou Wagner, our President and CEO, set the tone with a warm welcome and blessing. Activities included a hayride through the scenic grounds, face painting for kids (and the young at heart), and a competitive scavenger hunt. Our alumni also had the chance to share their stories and experiences in recovery, creating a supportive atmosphere filled with hope and encouragement.

Special thanks go to our guest speakers, Misti Durante, Continued Care Coordinator, and Jason Rauso, Clinical Supervisor, who shared inspiring words and celebrated the progress and dedication of our alumni. Music from the talented Dave Gallo brought a festive energy to the day, with everyone enjoying a chance to unwind, relax, and dance.

The event concluded with a highly anticipated door prize drawing, where attendees had a shot at winning some fantastic prizes generously donated by our wonderful local partners. We’d like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Luxenburg Jewelers, Cherrywood Golf Course, the Derry Garden Group, White Township Rec Complex, Luigi Restaurant, Hoss’s Restaurant, Frank Flower, Weaver’s Market, Flower & Balloon Gallery, Kelly Pidgeon, Go Bonkerz Entertainment, and, of course, our SpiritLife staff and family for making this event possible.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this year’s Alumni Picnic an unforgettable experience. We’re already looking forward to next year’s celebration!
